Proposition 8 Foes Gather In San Diego To Turn Back The Clock (P.V. Exclusive)

Written by: Evrviglnt on Saturday, November 15th, 2008

I made my way down to San Diego today to meet fellow blogger Jenn of The Political Jungle Blog. We headed off for downtown San Diego to check out the Protest March against Proposition 8 – the California proposition that amended the state constitution after rogue judges redefined marriage to mean whatever anyone wants it to mean. One wouldn’t know it for all the ‘No On 8″ signs, but it passed 52 – 48, and now marriage is defined as the union of one man and one woman. Since election day we’ve watched the gay community riot daily, assaulting political opponents physically and verbally in their hysterical outrage that Californians would want to decide for themselves whether a civilizational institution should be diluted. What we saw today was about 2000 protesters lofting signs both insipid and perfunctory – and the hundreds of ‘No On 8′ signs from the campaign were all over the place, as if the irony of ignoring the will of the people weren’t stark enough. The pictures speak for themselves, but it’s obvious that there’s no willingness to recognize the radical nature of what the counter-cultural gay movement demands – anyone who disagrees with them is simply a hater. One wonders how we’ve gone thousands of years without recognizing what bigots we are.

Click on the pictures to enlarge:

We saw a lot of Mormon hatred. This demented soul might still be standing there.

The Taliban hang homosexuals. Christians pray for them.

So much for hating religion!

For all the posters showing fists in the air, I don’t hear about any gays showing up in Compton to call blacks the n-word! They’ll only do that in West Hollywood!

No you won’t, and we can’t forget it because it’s law!

The chants were monotonous.

BDS also made an appearance at the march.

Gays + democracy = political reality

The circus freaks brought up the rear…

And modesty for none!

The only fun to be found was reading the signs scrawled by confused protesters.

There were many variations of the rainbow flag, including rainbow American flags.

What would a gay Elton John say? He said it – NO TO GAY MARRIAGE!

Hey, that guy ain’t Scottish!

It just isn’t a party without a few cross-dressers!

I don’t know what exactly the march was supposed to accomplish today. If having the messiah Barack Obama beg voters to reject the same-sex marriage amendment didn’t work, pissing off moderate and religious voters by demeaning them will only marginalize the cause even more. There was a lot of hatred on display today, and the anger was palpable – but overturning the amendment will be near impossible, and if the activist judges who backhanded the voters last time do so again, I’ll be joining millions of Americans in a march to save democracy!

Hey Shane, good times. Just an update, they estimate the crowd at OVER 20,000 people. Apparently SD was the biggest turn out in the country.

I don’t believe it! Did that look like 20,000? Would that crowd have filled the Staples Center? No way! If they had used both sides of the street it might have passed us up in fifteen minutes!

They always over inflate their numbers. They are liars, go figure.

Anyway, the majority of Californians has spoked and it is now part of the California State Constitution.

They will just have to get used to it until the next election cycle.

Why is it that the childish minority of numbers always demand that the majority on numbers should bow down to the minority of numbers?

so basically the Gay Agenda is saying that if Christians and Mormons don’t denounce their faith they are haters and must be attacked through protest and riots – - – and who are they saying the haters are?

I still don’t understand the war against Mormons and their church – if the point is that only those opposed to the proposition are allowed to rake in the out-of-state cash, then hypocrisy means nothing anymore. Prop 8 was outspent by at least 2 million dollars and had the advantage of white guilt (that’s why the huge white vote was split).

Libtard Rally/Protest Obligatories

1. Bongo Drums
2. Mutilated or altered American/state flags
2. “What do we want? (insert superfluous rally cry) When do we want it? NOW!
4. A “Hey, hey, ho, ho… (insert a phrase that ends with a rhyme of ‘ho.’”
5. Cross dressers or people in flamboyant costumes
6. Irrelevant signs with phrases that don’t match the cause.
7. The expectation that the world will be changed by the protest/rally

I’ve been watching protesters marching back and forth, and the poor souls who have been attacked for personal donations, I just have to say I’m glad to hear this one—People coming together! For good! There’s hope!

Leatherby’s Boycott Melts–The Inside Scoop
Supporters line out the door in support of Family Ice Cream Parlor, delivering a humiliating defeat to protesters

The inside scoop from the front lines on the Leatherby’s boycott is that Leatherby’s loyal supporters pommeled the opposition. Standing in front of the store holding signs and giving away free ice cream, the dozen or so protesters were perplexed by the stream of constant customers.
