Poll: Democratic Majority Congress Approval Hits All Time Low… Again!

For the second time in the past several weeks a major pollster has declared that the Democratic controlled congress approval rating has hit rock bottom. This time it’s pollster John Zogby who has the details…

But the marks for Congress, mired in gridlock over a series of partisan political battles after Democrats took power in the 2006 elections, continued to drop.

While 83 percent said Congress was doing a fair or poor job, just 14 percent rated it excellent or good. Last October, in its final days, the Republican-led Congress earned ratings of excellent or good from 23 percent of voters.

This is what happens when you have no ideas… like many political pundits suggested prior to the last mid-term elections! Democrats based their whole 2006 campaign on blaming Bush and Republican scandals, now that they have been put in a position to lead they find themselves completely clueless. The saying around Washington right now is “6 month’s have already been wasted ” don’t be surprised if that slogan doesn’t turn into “2 years have been wasted” by the time the next election comes around.

I think not only has the time been wasted, but it’s been wasted with them trying to “make a statement” by trying to force issues that they know they aren’t going to win. Last night’s attempt with the cots was pathetic. If I were a Democrat, I would be calling for Reid’s replacement…

It was easy for the Democrats when they were in the minority, they would just wait for the president to take a stand on any issue and then oppose him. Now that they have to govern it isn’t so easy for them. They have no ideas other than opposing Bush. I just can’t believe the American people couldn’t see that, or didn’t care, before the last election.
