An Englishman shoots at terrorist trying to set off his car bomb
I have a few questions beyond the obvious ones concerning England and its homegrown threat after two car bomb attempts. They’ve arrested five so far and are pretty sure the attacks were planned by Al-Qaeda. It hardly matters who planned it – there’s a hundred groups who would like to take credit for attacking England. What’s most troubling is that were it not for incompetence, hundreds of English might be dead today. It seems inevitable that tragedy will happen one day.
But what about the rampant incompetence by these terrorists? Who plans a bombing by driving a Mercedes loaded with petrol with the windows up? It’s no wonder he crashed into trash cans before he could park it, he was probably close to passing out! Police said it had a cell phone switch – which confirms that these clowns can’t even get their bombs to its destination without screwing it up. And Scotland – the jihadist who chooses to drive his carbomb through steel and cement pilons before getting out on fire to set off the explosives from his trunk should be forced to BE one of the 72 virgins in paradise! Stupidity like this only results in the left believing these really are just poor brown farmers who are only trying to feed their families by killing infidels.
These Keystone Terrorists were driving their bombs around looking for a populated place. What if they had parked it in front of a concert show and waited for fans to hit the exits? The cops in England don’t carry weapons, only pepper spray and lipstick – we’re hearing of men tackling these irhabbists as they were trying to set their bombs off! That’s a hell of a way to approach killers who hold widespread murder in their hands!
Most important is not what the bombers do but how those being bombed react. Over at Gun Toting Liberal, GTL quotes some pathetic expressions of resignation coming from English citizens – who apparently have come to think that having a stiff upper lip means taking it in the shorts without flinching. (Only a liberal would find wisdom in what these people say, so predictably…but I digress) I say this weekend is only the beginning, and we’re going to see many more bombings in European cities. The Euro’s will blame it on the war in Iraq and will withdraw with apologies, but the bombs will keep coming. If America gets bombed I honestly don’t know how we will respond – after years of relentless pessimism meant to seduce America into navel gazing inaction, Americans might very well demand we withdraw from the fight as well. Osama Bin Laden’s strategy could actually work, the decadent West really could shrink in the face of terror.
Our prayers are with the English tonight.
