Cloture vote on amnesty bill passes 64-35.
Yours truly is now one step closer to telling George W. Bush and GOP to go screw themselves! I am now 9/10’s of the way to becoming an independent voter – I’ll officially announce it the day GW signs this amnesty bill into law!

Join the club. I recommend the libertarian party, if you’re really going to go down that path. It’s small government without the party politics.

Why vote for a Republican if he’s going to act like a Democrat? We need term limits. No more “Patrician” status for Senators.

Bush and the Republican party seem to be sealing their fate. This has done nothing but push Bush’s remaining supporters away. On top of the damage this bill would do to the country it may also signal the last time we see Republican majorities in the house and senate, nevermind the presidency.
