A CALL TO ARMS FOR ALL CONSERVATIVES: Senate Majority Leader Reid To Reintroduce Amnesty Bill

Fox News is reporting that democratic sources say the amnesty bill will be back up next week:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will approve a new deal on immigration on Thursday and move to bring the once-dead legislation back to the Senate floor next week, Democratic sources told FOX News.

Based on the latest updates on the policy and amendments, Reid will approve the compromise and move late Thursday to put the bill back on the calendar for Senate consideration in the middle of next week…

The principal change to the bipartisan immigration compromise that Reid shelved last week is the addition of $4.4 billion in added border security spending. That money will be added to the base bill to return to the floor. Any other changes to the immigration bill will have to be made through the amendment process.

With the GOP votes in hand and a finite list of amendments to be offered by 11 Democratic and 11 Republican senators, Democratic sources said Reid is now determined to see whether the legislation can survive the amendment process intact. If it does, the Senate could vote on final passage of the bill by next Friday, Democratic sources said.

GOP sources tell FOX News that the new bill has enough support from Republicans for Reid to prevail on a procedural vote to get the bill to final passage.

Conservatives of the world unite! It’s time to raise hell once again! No matter how many e-mails, phone calls or bags full of dung you’ve sent your representatives… it’s not enough! It’s up to every one of us to put light a fire under the slovenly paunches of our Republican elites (McCain, Graham, Bush, etc.) who have so casually flipped us the middle finger. They started this fight, and we’ve got to step up to save the conservative movement in this country! Now’s the time to come to the aid of your country, or watch the long, slow dilution of everything you were ever proud of!

I read over at Redstate that Reid is timing this perfectly …Senator Jeff Sessions will be out of town the middle of next week when this thing hits the floor.

Anyone from Sessions’ state (i think that is Alabama)…please call your Senator and ask him to change his plans!

So let me get this straight- are you guys supporting your President in his attempt to pass last minute legacy items, or do you oppose him?

Reid pulled the bill because Republicans could not unite and provide the votes needed.

What exactly does your party stand for, anyway?
