Democrat Scheming: An Attack Made For The Media

The Democratic headquarters in Denver was attacked.  Eleven thousand dollars of damage was done to the building, mostly broken windows.  Quickly the Denver Democratic Party Chairwoman Pat Waak was out with a statement:

“We ought to be having a serious, conscientious debate about what’s best for the country,” Waak said. “Clearly there’s been an effort on the other side to stir up hate. I think this is the consequence of it.”

Soon after that statement news broke that a person arrested for the crime was a actually a Democrat activist with quite a history of champing for leftist causes.  Maurice Schwenkler is also a transgender activist.  With a name like Schwenkler, I guess that shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Here is how I see it.  Today was the big kick off for the Democrat pushback against the protests that have done such damage to the health insurance takeover.  It was supposed to state with a media bang – news breaking everywhere that “teabaggers” are now attacking Obama supporters.  They’re dangerous…and certainly unAmerican.  Like stormtroopers they’re smashing windows and carrying weapons. Tonight’s storyline on MSNBC was likely written out already – the mercenaries rhetorically armed and the true believers squealing in high pitch (can you imagine how insane the manufactured rage would be over at The Huff or the Daily Kos?)  But something went terribly wrong with the set-up.  A cop just happened to be driving by the headquarters at 2:20 in the morning.  A goon was caught, one escaped.  It’s now obvious it was a ruse meant to demonize political opponents.  And it involved a Democratic party leader, it wasn’t some pachouli sweetened goofball.  It’s a sign about how far they’re willing to go to win this battle; this is no different than some race baiter hanging a noose on a tree or Randi Rhodes diving drunk into the pavement and blaming a gang of right wingers – they are what they claim their opponents to be.

So when was chairwoman Pat Waak’s statement manufactured?  Yesterday?  Last night?  How much was Schwenkler paid?  Who paid him/her?  Will Schwenkler have to pay taxes on it?  Who bought the hammers?  Which jail will Maurice Schwenkler be spending some time in – male or female?

And most important… how long before Keith Olbermann asks Maurice out on a date, and who will wear the skirt?
