Is The Climate Cooling?
The ClimatePolice.com has research that concludes the Earth’s temperature has been cooling for the past 9 years:
A recent study conducted by ClimatePolice.com indicates the climate over the last 9 years is beginning to cool. 1998 typically serves as the benchmark for the warmest year on record for global temperatures. Since 1998, temperatures have decreased by -.34 degrees F.
This comes on the heels of a story that indicates that the United Nations IPCC report may have exaggerated the current levels of CO2.

It’s warming up here in Texas, but later this week it’s supposed to be in the 70’s…
In July and August there’s folks that would call Texas a prep for Hell but it’s what we deal with every year, in fact, recently we had a summer where it only got over 100° 5 or 6 days, that was rare, but this global warming and cooling stuff is something we really can’t do a thing about, the climate is going to do it’s thing, and unless we all start using one sheet per wipe, we’re doomed, DOOMED I tell you…

Any climate changes measured over decades is meaningless. The causes of ice ages and warming periods is not undestood. Attribution of changes to one source, such as man, is folly.
It seems that sunspot activity and solar storms are a significant contributor to fluctuations in temperatures over decades as is the precussion of the earths axis. A this stage all we can do is watch and try to predict the trend without trying to identify the source until further observation is made with an open mind.
Furthermore predictions that change will lead to catastrophy for man is illogical. As Europe warmed prior to the last mini ice age civilization flourished and population increased despite the plagues that swept the world.
The most significant aspect of the current apparant warming trend seems to be the ability to use more of the northern reaches of the northern hemisphere as a basis for life both human and non human. We might have longer growing seasons, the ability to raise animals for food in more areas and easier access to the earths resources.
Significantly, as our civilization is largely run by liquid hydrocarbon fuel, the extraction of that resource from those more northern areas might ease the dependance of the world upon the middle east source and lessen the likeliehood of conflict between the expanding civilizations in India and China and the rest of the word that depends on this resource.
A significant question is what is going to happen to the equitorial rejions and the southern hemisphere where large numbers of humans live a relatively marginal existance and how that might impact upon te northern hemisphere dwellers and the resources available.
If a climate change is underway how we cope with its effects is far more important than assigning blame and politicizing the event. Even if man has a significant impact on a global warming trend it is highly unlikely that those viewing Al Gore’s doeumentary and attending his concerts are prepared to go to war with the Chinese of Indians to prevent them from having their own industrial revolution.
