Muslims on Stage
By now many of you have heard about the six imams that were forced off the US Airways flight recently. It’s caused a big stir in Muslim circles because it’s an affirmation of an increase in Muslim hate crimes in America. It’s not polite to mention the irony that should anything like 9/11 happen in any Muslim country, the streets would be filled with families gawking at the burning, hanging bodies of American tourists. What happened on that flight was a set – up from the gitgo – travelers talk of the men loudly shouting Allahu Akbar repeatedly as they prayed before boarding. They were heard discussing George Bush and the war in Iraq, mentioned Osama Bin Laden and the war on terror. The six men board the plane together and then spread out individually to sit alone, choosing seat locations that mimicked the seating arrangement of the terrorists on the planes on 9/11. Two of them asked for seat belt extenders, though neither required one, and then placed the extenders on the floor at their feet. When asked to leave, the six raged with indignation, shocked and saddened by the attention they were being given. What had they done to deserve this?
Actually they deserve an award for audacity. And novelty – its amazing that Muslim activists haven’t already tried this – exhibit all the behaviors of a hijacker and then cry harassment. If they have lived in this country since 9/11 they know what scares people. They hit every note and relished it. Now they stand demanding redress and we all know the deck is stacked, they are attacking us with the very p.c. correctness we use to assuage our guilt. Were it not such an easy score I’d give them a nod for taking the obvious opportunity for a big payday (politically and financially). We live in a free market system. You’ve got to go where they’re buying…
Their defenders talk about the new crime, flying while Muslim. It’s catchy. I’ll make you a deal – when Christians start flying planes into buildings, you can change it to “flying while Christian. Until then, men that fit the descriptions above are going to be hustled off the plane. If not for the flight risk, then for the legal risk.
