There’s Nothing Anonymous About Democrat Derangement
News has broken that a gang of hackers cleverly calling themselves Anonymous has hacked into Governor Sarah Palin’s Yahoo account and begun releasing snapshots of her emails and the attachments within. The political right is outraged, they see conspiracy. The political left is feigning ignorance, but they wrap it in a barely concealed glee. I had expected that by now the atmosphere surrounding the presidential race would be toxic, so poisoned by frivolous charges of racism that common words like “flashy” and “community organizer” would be banned as vicious code words. But the flashy state organizer Sarah Palin has had her own effect on the race, and no one has to break federal laws to unveil the bitter angst on the left. They’ve gone insane with jealousy and fear. It’s no wonder that so many would believe that there’s nothing anonymous about what inspired someone to slash at her privacy. There’s been a sense that they’ve taken the next step – and now all politics is remorselessly personal.
Some might argue that decency was dead when the left accused Sarah Palin of baby switching. Or when they decided to judge her as a failed mother, as a tyrant who denied her daughter the choice of an abortion, and then as a stalking molester eyeing teenage boys. These are all beyond the pale – and they make the charges that she’s vindictive, religious and mean to men to taser ten year olds seem petty. But the attacks on Governor Palin have not done near the damage to her as they’ve done to Obama and his sycophants, and the attacks have done a lot to dull the shine he once carried. What the attacks have certainly done is make it all too believable that the left wouldn’t hesitate to break any law to get at Palin.
We’ve been lectured by the left that the right to privacy has been under assault by this administration and its jackboots. Whether its abortion or library books, phone calls or pornography, any challenge to the penumbras that emanate from the first amendment have led to accusations that President Bush is Hitler and that the government planned 9/11. Is the hacking of Sarah Palin’s email account proof that for all their talk about respecting privacy, nothing is sacred in pursuit of power? Of humiliation?
There’s no proof yet that Obama’s supporters have had anything to do with this latest outrage, but I don’t think it matters anymore. They’ve shown themselves to be unhinged and unconscionable since Sarah Palin was announced as McCain’s Vice-presidential pick. After weeks of watching polling numbers fall and the messiah lose his halo, desperation is widespread. In that acrid environment, this might only be the beginning…

Unhinged? Deranged? Try a Bush Administration turning to socialism as it nationalizes the insurance and mortgage lending industries. Try an incumbent party that claims to be the agent of change. Try Gov. Palin claiming the online state checkbook as the kind of brilliant innovation she’ll bring to Washington when in fact Sen. Obama backed the federal legislation that inspired the states to pursue that idea.
The only thing making this Dem feel even remotely unhinged is trying to keep up with the doublespeak of a GOP that has shed all of its principles.

Well that’s convenient! Obama “backed” what “inspired” states to use the online state checkbook! Hey, I backed what inspired NASA to send the Hubble telescope to Mars – do I get credit for that? It’s an ugly sight watching you Obama followers try to make your candidate appear useful at any level!
The difference between you and me is that I’ll hold my party accountable – you and your party will do nothing but snipe from the sidelines. Where’s Nancy? Harry? Dodd? Schumer? Raines? Gorelick? Running away again, eh? But you’ll feign outrage over socialism – Ha!
Nice try!

Not only have you swallowed the G.O.P. propaganda hook, line and sinker, but you’ve also aped the desperate measures from their playbook. You’re attributing to the Obama campaign what is actually happening in the McCain camp: insanity, fear and jealousy.
As you’ve noticed by now, the polls are settling back toward what we saw before the Sarah Surprise. This is only natural now that the fresh face has worn thin and exposed the stunted mean girl within.
Last week we heard “Carly will now disappear.” I predict that sometime around October 10 we’ll be hearing “Sarah will now disappear.”

Jane – desperation runs so rife on your side on the aisle that your candidate’s answer to valid challenges now is to simply charge racism. Here’s a test for you – what if I said that you were “aping” desperate measures from Obama’s playbook – how long would it take before I was called a racist?
I admit that we’re the underdogs – we’ve always been. But how can we be desperate when we’re up against the most inexperienced, untested and frivolous candidate in American history? The truth will out, and the more Americans see of Obama the farther fall his poll numbers. That is why you’re left hoping that Sarah Palin will be savaged so deeply by your deranged base that she’ll surrender. But Republicans don’t surrender, Democrats do. Just ask Harry Reid!
