Ahmadinejad Says No Gays In Iran

It appears that followers of his religion of peace found them…and executed them.

The President of Iran said during his grilling at Columbia University that there are no homosexuals in Iran. That must mean that these young men were wrongly executed, right?

Just how many gays may have been killed , some say the figure is more than 400,  is impossible to determine. Routine harassment and systematic torture of gays in Iran is quite common, charge human rights groups.

“The most likely sentence is some jail plus anywhere between 10 and a couple of hundred lashes,” said Scott Long, who follows gay rights issues for Human Rights Watch. “No one who survives them is likely to forget them.”

The President of Iran is a mongrel of a man who deserves to be hanging from the rope he so easily pulls around the necks of Iranians.

EXTRA: The BBC reports that at Ahmadinejad’s press conference “An Iranian-American journalist asked him to clarify his extraordinary claim on Monday that there were no gay people in Iran, pointing out, “I know a few myself.”

“Seriously? I don’t know any,” the president replied, in apparent surprise. “Give me some addresses so we’re able to go to visit them and learn about them.”

Given that sodomy is a crime punishable by death in Iran, it was a particular chilling offer.
