Significant Decline In U.S. Poverty

Of all media institutions, The New York Times has the details…

The nation’s poverty rate dropped last year, the first significant decline since President Bush took office. The Census Bureau reported Tuesday that 36.5 million Americans, or 12.3 percent — were living in poverty last year. That’s down from 12.6 percent in 2005.

I’m amazed that the Democratic Party mouthpiece would actually report on this finding, maybe tomorrow they’ll tell us the truth about economy! Don’t expect this story to be plastered all over the nightly news report tonight – nobody wants to hear good news!
